
Nathalie Emmanuel (born in Southend-on-Sea in Essex, United Kingdom) is an English actor. Most famously, she is Missandei in the HBO television show, the fantasy Game of Thrones (2011). Nathalie was an English actress born in Southend-on-Sea (Essex), England. Her father has Saint Lucian-English descent, and her mother was Dominican. Nathalie believes that her dream to perform as an actress at the beginning due to her mother. When she was in the West End, she was chosen to play Young Nala as she was 10 years old. Emmanuel starred in the series up to 2010, and her storylines featured sexual prostitution and heroin addiction. In the autumn of the same year, she made her debut in the thriller Twenty8. Her next role was in the fantasy show Game of Thrones (2011, HBO) as Missandei Targaryen as Daenerys translator. In 2015, she starred as the computer hacker Ramsey and Harriet in Furious 7: The Scorch Trials (2015 action movie) and Maze Runner - The Scorch Trials (2015 sci-fi action film). FHM magazine named Emmanuel 99th on their list of the 100 most sexy women in 2013. In 2015, she appeared in the April editions of InStyle as well as GQ magazines.
