Ashley Graham was born on November 22, 1989, in Lincoln Nebraska. She grew up with her two younger sisters, and often was bullied at school because of her large thighs. Graham was in the news again in 2009 when she appeared in the controversy-making Lane Bryant commercial that ultimately was struck down in a number of countries. At the time that the ad was removed from YouTube the video had already been watched by more than 800,000. As the controversy grew, she appeared as a guest on the Jay Leno show "The Tonight Show".
